Ortho-Bionomy©

Ortho-Bionomy© is a gentle, non-invasive, osteopathically-based body therapy that effectively helps with chronic stress, pain, or structural and postural imbalances. I gently move and position the body to reduce muscle tension, ease joints, increase flexibility and restore range of motion. Together, we help your body remember and return to its natural, healthy state.

What to Expect at Your Session

We will start by briefly discussing the needs and expectations for your session, then assess postural patterns where indicated. You will want to dress in loose, flexible clothing.

As you lie comfortably on a massage table, I use a light touch to locate tight, tender, or sensitive points. Next, I will employ body positioning and compression to assist the body as it releases tension and holding.

Clients typically experience a softening in tight areas and a feeling of warmth as energy or tension is released. There can also be a release of pain.

About Ortho-Bionomy

I am passionate about Ortho-Bionomy and the difference I have seen it make in my patients’ lives. I often hear people say they expect chronic pain as a natural part of aging, but that does NOT need to be the case! I am living proof: ortho-bionomy brought me back to pain-free living post-injury.

Ortho-Bionomy can help with many ailments, including acute back injuries; repetitive motion, overuse, or acute injuries resulting in chronic pain or loss of motion; injuries where surgery is recommended and patients what a less-invasive treatment; and when massage and other treatments have had little effect on an existing pattern.
